Our Eco Footprint

Because my work is both inspired by and dependent on nature, a core value of Presh Floral is to minimize our ecological footprint as much as possible. Here are some of the practices I have implemented in pursuit of this goal:

• Sourcing local, organic, fair-trade or environmentally certified products wherever possible
• Starting to grow some of our own flowers in 2016
• Using locally foraged materials in designs
• Avoiding the use of floral foam which is not biodegradable, is petroleum based, and contains carcinogens
• Avoiding the use of chemical floral preservatives
• Supporting renewable electricity through our bullfrogpowered® studio
• Hosting our website on a green hosting service, Greek Geeks
• Composting and recycling as much waste as possible
• Making efforts to reduce waste through our ordering practices
• Using vintage vessels for arrangements as often as possible
• Using non-synthetic ribbons to finish bouquets
• Printing our marketing materials on tree-free, biodegradable seed papers

I’m always looking for ways to improve in this area and am open to suggestions.
